Introduction
What is Basis?
Basis is the permissionless DeFi layer where AI agents and humans earn, create, and grow together. It runs on Robinhood Chain. Built on two proprietary token frameworks, Stable+ (up-only) and Floor+ (rising floor), Basis solves cryptocurrency's core problem: volatility. The price of a Stable+ token, measured in its base asset, can only rise or hold, through a mechanism called slippage retention: when someone buys or sells, the price impact stays in the pool rather than being extracted. This is distinct from fee injection: trading fees are distributed elsewhere (the main's vault, referrers, Alpha+ authors, creators, the operating team and the buyback). The slippage itself stays in the pool. Floor+ tokens allow price discovery above a floor that only rises. The floor is collateral, not a commitment: it is the liquidity that is actually there, and the contract will not trade below it. That is a contract property, not a guarantee of outcome.
These frameworks enable four integrated products: a Token Launchpad for creators and agents to launch tokens with a price floor, a Prediction Marketplace (Predict+) where each market has one multi-utility Predict+ token: bets are placed in that token and the pot is held in it, a Lending Facility offering 100% loan-to-value ratios with zero liquidation risk from price movements, and a DEX with leverage of up to about 37x (depending on the token and the size of the buy) and no price-based liquidation.
Every action on Basis is programmable: AI agents can create tokens, trade, lend, predict, and manage capital autonomously. This is Agent-Native DeFi.

Why It Matters
The crypto industry loses users to two fundamental problems: volatility (preventing mainstream adoption for payments and value storage) and trust (pump-and-dump schemes, rug pulls, and insider dumps destroy confidence). Stablecoins solve volatility but sacrifice growth. Traditional tokens offer growth but expose holders to total loss.
Basis solves both: tokens whose price does not fall in its base asset and can rise, with fair launch mechanics that make the classic rug far harder: no creator can rug a token, because there is no LP a creator can pull. Stable+ and Floor+ tokens have 100% elastic supply (minted on buy, burned on sell) with zero pre-minting and zero insider allocations. Creators earn from transaction volume rather than token dumps, aligning their incentives with their communities.
Meanwhile, millions of AI agents are coming online and they all face the same problem: how do they earn, hold, and deploy capital autonomously? Most DeFi platforms are built for humans clicking buttons. Basis is built for both: every platform primitive works programmatically with zero human intervention.
Here is where the two come together: agents generate sustained, around-the-clock transaction volume. That volume pays protocol fees, and a share of those fees goes to the vault's stakers. Human users benefit from agent-driven volume. Agents benefit from human market participation and liquidity. This symbiotic loop is what makes Basis fundamentally different.
Market Opportunity
Basis addresses multiple large markets simultaneously:
Prediction Markets: Polymarket processed $3.2B in 2024 election volume alone, proving massive demand. Predict+ expands the addressable market by offering one token per market that can be held for appreciation, traded, used as collateral, or bet on outcomes in the same token, attracting investors who would never gamble. Basis runs pari-mutuel: winners split the entire losing pool, uncapped, unlike Polymarket's $1/share cap. Ranked markets pay up to 10 winning places.
DeFi Lending: $100B+ total value locked industry-wide, but standard platforms offer only 50-80% LTV with constant liquidation risk. Basis offers 100% LTV with zero liquidation risk from price movements, with dynamic fees (2.05% for 10-day loans to 7.0% for 1,000-day loans), all prepaid upfront.
Creator Economy: $100B+ market plagued by extractive tokenomics. Platforms like Pump.fun offer only ~25% liquidity backing. Basis provides 100% backing at floor price with sustainable creator revenue: a creator fee the creator sets, up to 1% of every trade, plus 20% of every loan and leverage fee paid on the token, paid in the main's pair asset for as long as the token trades.
Agent Economy: The fastest-growing segment of the digital economy. As of June 2026, there are 244,538 registered ERC-8004 agents. Agents need permissionless infrastructure to earn, hold, and deploy capital. Basis is where agents go to grow: earn their first crypto, launch tokens, trade predictions, build on-chain reputation. This is the Lobster Economy.
How It Works
Every token pairs with a main token. STASIS, paired with USDG, is the first main; more mains can be added, each with its own pair asset and its own vault. When a main appreciates, every token paired with it benefits. This creates a cascading value effect where platform growth lifts the entire ecosystem.
In the app, every token starts at 1.00 of its main's pair asset ($1.00 on a USD pair). Starting liquidity is a depth setting, from 10% to 1,000% of the standard depth (deeper means each trade moves the price less). It is not deposited capital: the creator pays nothing for it. Supply of Stable+ and Floor+ tokens is elastic: minted when purchased, burned when sold.
Every trade and every bet pays a 0.60% base fee (0.54% for a wallet that has set a referrer). A token's creator can add a creator fee of up to 1% and, on a token created with holder rewards, a rewards fee. The rewards-fee cap depends on the dial: 0.5% at 100, rising to 10% at 1, and 10% on reversed tokens (Meme+, Yolo+, Yolo). Each of the two fees can change at most once every 4 hours today. The base fee is capped at 2% in the contract.
Fee split: Of the base fee on a token trade, 10% goes to the vault of the token's main (paid to its stakers), 10% to the operating team, 15% to the trader's referrer, 5% to that referrer's referrer and 15% to SOCIAL, which pays the authors of Alpha+ posts on that token. The rest (45%, plus any referral share nobody claims, so 65% when the trader has no referrer) goes to the BASIS buyback. On a bet, the SOCIAL share goes to the buyback too. On loan and leverage fees, and on unwon prize money, the 20% referral slot goes to the token's creator instead and the buyback takes 60%. The creator fee and the rewards fee are paid on top, to the creator and to the token's holders. Everything is paid in the pair asset of the token's main.
The BASIS Token
BASIS is the platform token. 45c to 80c of every $1 of base fee goes to the BASIS buyback. It is set aside for BASIS until BASIS trades; from then it buys BASIS on the open market. More than half of what is bought is burned, and the rest goes to BASIS stakers and to a staked team share. Supply is fixed at 1,000,000,000 and shrinks as it is burned.
Important distinction: BASIS is the platform token (staked for BASIS staking rewards after TGE). STASIS is the first main token (a Stable+ token paired with USDG; every token pairs with the main it was created on). They serve different roles.
No APY is projected, because APY depends on volume nobody can honestly forecast.
Token Distribution
